Granaboard major website updates (obsolete)

During the next months, I'll be updating the Granaboard website. Besides the Profiles section which will be added soon, I'm thinking on new sections to give the website more life (because now it's like dead).

I was thinking of adding a section to post all the specially fun/screwed up quotes from the posts of the board, just for fun, especially if took out of context [img]wink.gif[/img] . Anybody would be able to submit anybody else's or their own quotes posted in the board. What do you think of this idea? How would you name this section? (BTW, it's not mine, it's from Zenosaga.com.)

I'll also do the following to the site:

- New main page with new menu and news system. The new menu will make navigation easier now that we'll have a lot of sections.

- Since I started, I always optimized the Granaboard website for display in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Since now Netscape has an overall superior browser (if only for the fact that it's way faster when showing stuff), I'll change the "reference standard" to Netscape 7. This does not mean that the site will look bad in IE, it's only that I'll give priority to the way NS renders pages.

- New revision of the Granaboard Rules & Regulations to rule profiles and the other new section (rules are supposed to be very simple and short here), as well as to update the Message Board rules regarding the new tags and spoilers, and maybe warnings, if you decide so.

- I'll update the About page with the newer Granaboard history (leaving Hottub.org, introducing Dragonrider as a staff member which also helps in the website, etc.)

What do you think? Do you have any idea, question, suggestion or comment regarding the Granaboard website? If you do, please write it here, or E-Mail me to [email protected] . I will take everything in consideration and I want to make the website YOU want to use. Thanks for your support.

A minor update to the Granaboard website has been done. Changes include:

- Updated About Granaboard page with the recent Granaboard history
- News in some browsers were broken once again because of GeoCities ads. Fixed.
- Minor tweaks on the main page so it looks better on Netscape 7.1. (Still looks better in Internet Explorer 6 due to transparent news not being supported in Netscape.)
- News on browser targetting and other information posted

No opinions/ideas/comments on the other updates and sections I'm going to do?

Website redesign cancelled because of lack of input. The new sections will be added using the current design.

Perhaps we could make LFB a full time part of the website. The orginal basis was from Grandia II and there's one or two characters from the game too. I'm planning a few ideas for the RPG's move from text to anime. I'm gonna write a proper story, and i might even animate a music video to Gackt's Mizerable (working on some storyboards at the mo).

I haven't read much of LFB (DR is in charge of that thread), but if it is a fanfic with Grandia II characters, it's suitable for posting in the Grandia II fanfics section. All you need to do is to send me a text or HTML file with LFB altogether, and I'll post it, or update a previously existing version.
